SEPTEMBER IS NATIONAL LIBRARY CARD SIGN-UP MONTH
September is Library Card Sign-Up Month - a time when the American Library
Association and libraries across the country remind parents that a library
card is the most important school supply of all. In addition, the American Library
Association emphasizes that there is something for everyone at the library. If you
do not have a library card at the Mount Airy Public Library,
please come by during
the month of September to sign-up. The staff of the library will be more than happy
to show you all they have to offer. Pay them a visit during September to sign up

LABOR DAY INFO AND SANITATION HOLIDAY SCHEDULE CHANGES
City offices will be closed on Monday, September 6 in
observance of Labor Day. Residential and
industrial sanitation routes will be
collected on Tuesday, September 7. Commercial routes will be
collected on Monday, September 6 as scheduled. Yard waste
will not be collected.
The next yard waste collection after the holiday is September 13.
The City of Mount Airy's annual solid waste collection holiday
schedule is available here or
by calling our Sanitation Department at 336-786-3580.
City offices will reopen Tuesday, September 7 @ 8 AM.
