Now more than ever we all need a little holiday cheer! The Mount Airy Appearance Commission is excited to announce a new holiday event to help celebrate the annual lighting of the City Christmas Tree. Drive through Downtown Mount Airy on Thursday, December 3rd between 6pm and 6:30pm to enjoy a half mile of light displays, beautifully decorated windows and live music from musical groups such as the Moravian Band, Surry Sings Community Chorus, Mount Airy High School Band and more! Wave at Santa Claus from your car. He will be in his sleigh in front of city hall. Don't forget to bring your letters to Santa with your Christmas wishes to drop in his Special Mailbox!

PLEASE NOTE: Santa’s Helpers (City Commissioners) will be stationed at City Hall to accept monetary donations to be split between the Mount Airy Police Department Toy Drive and Sheriff Atkinson’s Give a Kid a Christmas Program. If you can, please plan to donate to these worthy causes to help provide a memorable Christmas to children in our community.
