STATION INFORMATION

Access6 is a government access channel located on Time Warner Cable Mount Airy, channel 6. It has been provided by Time Warner as part of its franchise agreement with Mount Airy. If your TV service is provided by satellite TV, you will be unable to view this station on your television. You can view the same information online by visiting Access 6 on the web.

Most citizens living in the city limits of Mount Airy should be able to view Channel 6 on their cable service. Note that citizens living in Surry County outside of the Mount Airy city limits will receive a different local access channel on 6. This channel is ran by Surry County and is unaffiliated with Mount Airy's Channel 6. Recently annexed areas of Mount Airy may still receive the county Channel 6 on their cable service. Problems such as this are due to the way the cable system was set up years ago when Time Warner provided service to Surry County and Mount Airy was served by Adelphia.
