The City of Mount Airy is now accepting applications for the following positions:

Lifeguard:
This position is responsible but is not limited to providing rescue services to swimmers in danger of drowning, participating in the enforcement of Reeves Community Center Rules and Regulations, and providing various types of assistance to patrons and other duties as required. Position is open until filled. Certifications Required: American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification Card American Red Cross Standard First Aid American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer

Communications Officer:
Police Department; Applicant must be a US citizen and at least 20 years of age. No prior criminal records; undergo an extensive criminal background investigation. Requirements include: successful completion of a background investigation, physical examination, polygraph examination, drug screen test, have computer skills, clear speaking voice, ability to perform multiple functions, must be able to work rotating shifts. Graduation from high school or the equivalent of a high school diploma is required.
