Implementation of Parks and Recreation Master Plan
The City Commissioners adopted the Parks and Recreation Master Plan on November 15, 2001. The Recreation Commission will work with planning staff to implement the plan.
ETJ- Zoning and Land Use
City planning staff is working with Surry County planning staff to coordinate rezoning requests in the ETJ fringe area.
City-County Hazard Mitigation Plan
Staff is working with John Shelton, Surry County EMS Director on updating the Hazard Mitigation Plan for Mt. Airy, Dobson, Elkin, and Surry County.
