Mount Airy in the 1960's

  The City of Mount Airy uses G.I.S. (Geographic Information Systems) that consists of utility data, zoning data, city districts, fire and police districts etc., along with parcel, flood, voter districts, and many other datasets that are supplied by Surry County Government.  The G.I.S. software currently used by the city is ArcGIS 9.2.

Until we have a G.I.S. browser up and running the following shapefile data is available upon request.  Please contact Dustin Stephens at (336) 786-3520.  A user agreement will have to be signed before any data can be released.  Click Here to download a copy of this agreement.

Data Distribution Policy

The City of Mount Airy G.I.S. data is considered public records.  Upon request, the City of Mount Airy will provide digital copies to anyone requesting data, with the cost being for media and the personnel’s time.

 to view the Shapefile data.
