Ararat River Greenway
The Ararat River Restoration Project will consist of river restoration from the northern side of Riverside Park to Hwy 52.
The Ararat Greenway will go from Riverside Park to Tharrington Elementary School and include three under-bridge connections.
The Riverside Park renovations include greenway trail head, paved parking area, new entry sign, hillside nature trails, and canoe launch and landscaping.
The Rowe Environmental Park on Hamburg Street will have an outdoor classroom, bridge to school connection, restroom and water fountain, picnic areas, nature trails, fishing area and landscaping.
Tharrington Elementary Park development will include the end of the greenway trail, two soccer fields, permanent entry road improvements, gravel parking and canoe take out area.
The contractors are expecting to have the work completed as late as March of 2010 or as early as November of 2009.
