Registration: Begins May 1, 2023 and lasts until all classes are filled.

**Minimum number of students may apply depending on class.
**Participants of our Parent/Child and Preschool lessons will receive a trophy upon completion of class. Participants of Level 1-6 classes will receive a Red Cross certificate upon successfully completing course requirements. A parent or other adult is required in the water for Parent/Child classes.
SWIM CLASS DESCRIPTIONS
Please use the following swim class descriptions to appropriately place your child in the right class.
Parent and Child Aquatics Level 1 (18-36 months)
Parent and child enter the water together. This class teaches the parent and child basic water skills and child safety in and around the water. Learning is done through water exploration, play and songs.
Parent and Child Aquatics Level 2 (3 year olds)
Parent and child work together again at this level to build upon the basic water skills and child safety skills learned in Level 1. Learning is done again through water exploration, play and song but at this level learning will also be accomplished by training tools such as kick boards, kick bars and swim belts.
Preschool Aquatics Level 1 (4 & 5 year olds)
These preschoolers are new to the pool, needing to learn water adjustment skills.
Preschool Aquatics Level 2 (4 & 5 year olds)
These preschoolers should readily be able to submerge mouth and nose and blow bubbles. They should also be able to swim short distances with support.
Preschool Aquatics Level 3 (4 & 5 year olds)
These preschoolers should demonstrate a high comfort level in the water and a readiness to swim. They should readily be able to submerge whole head under water.
Level 1: Introduction to Water Skills (ages 6 and up)
Children at this level are new to the pool and need to learn water adjustment skills.
Level 2: Fundamental Aquatic Skills (ages 6 and up)
Children at this level should readily be able to fully submerge head and swim short distances with support.
Level 3: Stroke Development (ages 6 and up)
To enroll in Level 3, a child must be able to swim at least five yards on their front and back without support.
Level 4: Stroke Improvement (ages 6 and up)
To enroll in Level 4, a child must be able to swim at least 15 yards (over half the length of our indoor pool) using front crawl and elementary backstroke.
Level 5: Stroke Refinement (ages 6 and up)
To enroll in Level 5, a child must be able to swim 25 yards of front crawl and elementary backstroke and 15 yards of breaststroke, back crawl, sidestroke and butterfly.
Level 6: Swimming and Skill Proficiency (ages 6 and up)
To enroll in Level 6, a child must be must be able to swim 50 yards of front crawl and elementary backstroke and 25 yards of breaststroke, back crawl, sidestroke and butterfly.
