We provide a variety of services to the City of Mount Airy and its employees. Some of these services are given below:

  • Personnel budgeting
  • Work closely with the Finance Department in the preparation
  • Exit interviews for terminated employees
  • New employee orientations
  • Workers' Compensation Program
  • Job advertisements
  • Recruitment and selection of employees
  • Employee benefits (i.e. Health, Dental, Vision, 401K, State Retirement, etc.)
  • Review benefits for renewals and/or changes
  • Property and liability program
  • Organization of training sessions
  • Development of policies
  • Handle FMLA requests
  • Education Reimbursement Program
  • Grant programs
  • Organize Employee Health Fair and blood drives
  • Job fairs
  • Manage Employee Assistance Program
  • Administer employee wages and salaries
  • Ensures compliance with personnel regulations, policies, and procedures
  • Management of IRS Cafeteria Plan
  • Employee performance appraisal
  • Maintain confidential personnel files for all employees
  • Retiree recognition
  • Maintain employee job descriptions
  • Facilitate employment problem-solving
